Here’s a point that hit home in my analysis of the jobs numbers this morning: young people (15-24 year olds) have the third highest unemployment rate in more than 25 years – only the Great Recession and the pandemic recorded higher numbers.

On top of this – those who *are* working are making less per hour and working fewer hours per week than the same cohort last year.

Fewer jobs, fewer hours, less pay.
